The gentle sound of waves rolling onto the beach calm the coast-line. The sky is a vibrant blue and the sand a bright white... you wander care-free, without a worry in the world. You might as well be floating. Slowly, you look up and look around. How did you get here? Is this a dream, or is this really paradise?

Daily Deviation

Given 2005-02-13

You know, we really didn't get a taste of what the original photography looked like, but I think we could take a chance in thinking that it did not look anything as vibrant as this. Largs Utopia by *reccy is definately an attractive shot. *Orders a postcard-version and pretends to be on vacation.* (Suggested by ~storyskeleton and Featured by `halfliquid)

This was taken at Largs Bay here in South Australia. It's a beautiful beach, but not *this* beautiful. Heavy photo manipulation (mostly colour alteration) was applied.

heheh cool 8-) I think we're making Largs Bay beach look pretty good. I took these three shots at Largs Bay: [link] and [link] and [link] and this one just over at semaphore [link]

Very nice manipulation though. The water looks beautiful and that blue makes it really stand out. Those clouds in the sky look a bit foreboding though. Looks like it's going to be paradise lost with a storm coming ;)

Ever lived in Darwin? The wet season (aka cycle season) is phenomenal. Some of the most breath-taking storm fronts, cloud formations and sun-sets I've seen in my entire life.

I do see what you mean, regarding the piece. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

wow beautiful shot.

I would suggest that you take this in to photoshop and get rid of the writing on the umbrella. it is quite distracting. It would work towards the simplicity of this image.

It was a spur of the moment quick-shot. I just saw that umbrella while at the beach half submerged in water and thought it'd be a great focal point for some photos. I'll be sure to actually set out one day to get some ideal scenes sometime though!
